I remember the first time that I realized how truly fragile life was. It was almost seven years ago now. Which is crazy. My mom was hit by a bus.
Then at 33 I got cancer. I, too, tried to soften the blow of that news with humor. Having someone who makes you laugh and doesn’t take life too seriously is such a beautiful thing for me.
Life is so fragile. Life is too short to tolerate those who don’t bring us joy.
Up got it right. “Enjoy the little things of life. One day you’ll look back and realize that they were the big things”. Which also reminds me of ‘One More Time’ by Blink 182. So good.
This was beautiful to read. Thank you, as always, for sharing 💖
The other day my friend told me of her friend who got diagnosed with cancer. Where did the time go that it were our parents friends and we were unknowingly enjoying life?
We are now at an age where we know the important things from things that no longer bother us. We are aware of who we are and what we want. Unfortunately this comes with loosing loved ones more regularly than we ever could imagine.
Most of my friends, including me, have lost at least one of their parents. And that comes with the very scary realization that we are now really close to facing the loss of those friends we’ve known forever and feel like family.
Words, although we have many, come too short. But there are 3 that cover it all. But there are 3 we should always say and act on. And these 3 are known by all and rather easy.
There should be another kind of reaction button other than 'like' for a read like this. I'm sorry for the hard news of your friend. Your words are an important reminder and perspective on how to live and love. Hugs.
I really felt this 🌟I am so sorry about your friend. Sending you all the hugs. And I feel you on those feelings of love & hope that whoever was/is for you unites or reunites 💖✨

Beautiful piece. I'm at the age where I'm just embracing the good since there is so much heartache out there. Have an amazing time in Paris! Xx
